Once again, Markos said "Ugh" to describe Rep. Dennis Kucinich in this week's cattle call.
For those of us who demand impeachment now, want to stop war on Iran, and/or demand universal single-payer health care, this is highly counter-productive.
(more on the flip)
Markos' hostitility to Kucinich is long-running. But is that constructive?
Let's remember: Kucinich is the only candidate who:
* voted against the war (he
organized the house opposition)
* stands for single payer
universal health care - the only plan
endorsed by Michael Moore
* is attempting to
impeach Bush/Cheney
IMO Kucinich by far stands for the best policies of any of the candidates.
However, whether or not you support his campaign for President, I believe it is incumbent on all of us who support Kucinich's policies to treat him with the respect and dignity he deserves.
Dennis has proven himself to be a very influential and effective member of congress and we need him to push his policies.
And a note to Markos: I've yet to see a single supportive comment from you about Dennis' efforts on any of the above issues. Did you ever thank him for organizing the house opposition to the Iraq war? Is UGH the best you can say about the congressperson who has done more than any other to oppose Bush/Cheney?
UGH???
How about HOORAH!!!
update 1: Look, my main issue here is that Kos should not say "ugh" about Dennis because such a comment implies that he is saying "ugh" to Dennis' policies!
Does Kos think "ugh" about impeachment? "Ugh" about universal health care? "Ugh" about stopping war with iran? "Ugh" about fair trade?
